There are two types of Super Bowl watchers. There are obviously the people who are there to watch the game and then there are the people who are just excited to see the commercials. Super Bowl commercials are known for often being funny and entertaining which obviously gives them more appeal. This appeal gains more attention from viewers and make Super Bowl commercials so beneficial.

As we get closer to the end of the season, we coming up on the Super Bowl in February. This is very exciting for both NFL fans and companies. Many companies will be spending millions just to have 30 seconds of air time. For this past Super Bowl, 30 second commercials costed $5.6 million just for the air time. Now think of all the ads you see in a single football game and multiply each one by $5.6 million. That is a lot of money the network is bringing in!

The costs of these ads will only go up from here based on the prices of past years. Especially with the ongoing pandemic, there will be more people watching the game from their own tv than ever. For smaller companies this is clearly not a viable option for marketing, but for big brands such as Bud Light this is the perfect time to have a commercial. Millions of viewers across the country will be watching the game and its ads. Think of it this way, for some people they are there to watch the ads. You already have the attention of viewers, you just need to keep them entertained and captivated through your commercial. There are more people actually paying attention to advertisements than ever!

When it is time for the Super Bowl make sure to pay some attention to the ads. They are often funny and entertaining. And just think how many people are seeing these ads that moment. While $5.6 million seems like a lot, 99.9 million viewers were watching the game on the Fox Network in 2020. This is a lot of impressions on these ads. Or you could just go on YouTube after and see some the best ads of the night!
