Political Advertising
With it being Election Day, I thought I would talk about the political advertising we are seeing. The presidential candidates have been pushing out their last efforts to reach the public. Biden posted a video today with Emimen music playing today in an attempt to get viewers excited to vote out Trump. Additionally, we have seen a last minute push by Democrats due to the high amount of funding they recieved in this month alone. The same goes for MJ Hegar. She has been pushing out advertising due to her high amount of funding and hopes to persuade the Texas public to go blue. Both Texas senate campaigns have been trying to reach the younger generation through Hulu and YouTube. These platforms have a high amount of younger viewers. their advertisements often are one right after the other and are ususually aimed at attacking the other candidate. Senator John Cornyn is fighting to keep his seat but Democrates feel like they have a shot at Texas. But back to the presidential race. We have seen Trump get endorsements from influencers of the younger generations such as Lil Pump, the Nelk boys (YouTubers), and Lil Wayne. Within the past couple weeks Lil Pump and the Nelk boys have been brought to Trump’s rallies. Lil Pump spoke on the stand and Nelk was brought up on stage by the President to dance to YMCA. It appears the advertising in politics right now is aimed at newer votes, but tonight we will find out whose efforts paid off and who will be President.
