Fleet!

This past week the social media platform ‘Twitter’ released a new sharing feature called a ‘Fleet’. If you have used Snapchat or Instagram before you are familiar with their stories feature. This is where someone can make a post without it being on permanently on their timeline. First Instagram copied Snapchat’s success with stories and now Twitter is hoping on the train.

It is a very cool and beneficial feature to have though. While Twitter is currently receiving minor backlash for coping everyone else, in the long run it will be beneficial. It is another way to get their platforms users to spend more time on their app. People now have two feeds to go through instead of one and many big influencers have already been taking advantage of this new feature. It provides a new way to keep their fans entertained.

In the long run Twitter is going to profit from this feature. The main goal of the company is to keep the users on their app and get more viewers on posts and ads. This is the perfect way to do that!
